The Disney Concert Hall was designed by Frank Gehry and the acoustics of the concert hall was designed by Yasuhisa Toyota, it opened on the 23rd of October, 2003. Like all Gehry designs, it is a very unique and visually striking piece of architecture which can be seen as an internationally architectural landmark.
This is my Year 12 HSC body of work (BOW) titled "apocalypse," it was selected for Artexpress and will be displayed at the Sydney Olympic Park Armory from the 1st of March up to the 24th of April.
My BOW was inspired by my interest in the supernatural, in particular the concept behind the Apocalypse. I started to explore popular culture through the media of film and TV and found images that I experimented with. This led to the different layering of materials and the spontaneous and energetic application of charcoal, paint, inks, pastels, feathers and photos that captured the effects and the qualities of the supernatural and a sense of expression in a dystopian atmosphere.
